Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. Following the time her father's divorce from her family members, she was brought to maturity by her mother, godparents and grandmother. She suffered from an anxiety disorder that was rooted in the word association when she was a teenager. Ford was intrigued by the profession of acting in her teens and became a member of the National Youth Theatre. After being admitted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School for brief time, Ford decided that it was not the right location for her. Ford applied again for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and, on the fourth time she applied she was eventually admitted. Shaun Dingwall played Pete Tyler in Doctor Who. Ford graduated in 1993. She made her television debut in the 1992 episode Surgical Spirit. She adopted the name Catherine Tate. Tate appeared on TV in the Nineties with shows such as The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Tate also performed regularly at the theater, ultimately joining the Royal Shakespeare Company for its 2000-2001 season. Tate was recognized for her comedy stand-up and has been added to her resume in 1996.
